Up and Down is an artwork inspired by the arid mountain ranges of Mexico. This country is a second home to me — every time I return, I feel recharged and creatively inspired.
This piece marks a turning point in my practice: it’s the first one created without a canvas. I wanted to break free from boundaries, to let my soul and energy flow without restriction.
The work needed a surface, so I chose to use an upcycled piece of plywood — a conscious decision aligned with my values.
The organic movement within the piece echoes the natural rhythms shaped by Mother Nature herself, a tribute expressed through the warm golden and earthy brown tones that bring the composition to life.
