These twin artworks (Perles no.1 et no.2) pay tribute to women, in all their elegance, strength, and independence. Their curved forms evoke the female body, embracing and celebrating its form, its very being. They stand among the first creations to affirm a commitment to feminism, expressed in a subtle yet powerful way.

Crafted from reclaimed white curtain lace — a delicate, pure, and meticulous material — the choice of white symbolizes softness, purity, and femininity, much like a pearl. The pearlescent finish further enhances this symbolism. The lace was also repurposed to imprint textured patterns onto the canvas background, adding depth and resonance to the layered meaning of the works.
